Google Calendar Integration
When you choose to connect your Google Calendar:
- OAuth Access: We request limited, read-only access to your Google Calendar using OAuth 2.0
- Calendar Events: We temporarily cache calendar event data (title, start time, end time) solely to display your schedule alongside your tasks
- Token Storage: We securely store encrypted access tokens and refresh tokens to maintain your calendar connection
Important: We do NOT:
- Store your complete calendar history in our database
- Access calendars you have not explicitly connected
- Modify, delete, or create events in your Google Calendar (read-only access only)
- Share your calendar data with third parties
- Use your calendar data for advertising or marketing purposes
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
1. Provide and Maintain the Service
- Enable core planning features (yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily views)
- Display your tasks alongside calendar events in unified timelines
- Generate AI scheduling suggestions based on your tasks and available time

- Active Accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active

- Calendar Tokens: Google Calendar access tokens are immediately revoked when you disconnect your calendar or delete your account
- Backups: Backup copies are retained for 30 days for disaster recovery purposes, then permanently deleted

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

- We use calendar data solely to display your schedule within the TideGrid interface
- We do not transfer calendar data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service

- Calendar access can be revoked at any time through your TideGrid settings or Google Account settings
Children's Privacy
TideGrid is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. International Data Transfers
